Volkswagen Custom Bus Car Meet
To show you the quality of the rides on hand, here is a cool line up of Buses.
1961 Volkswagen Bug Best Of Show
The "Best of Show" trophy went to Steven Ephraim, whose radical '61 Bug (equipped with 18- and 19-inch rims!) graced our June 2003 cover. It now features a flip front to display even more details.

Volkswagen Bug Ragtop
We have not seen Mike Navarro's Ragtop at shows in ages. This right-hand-drive car with slicks from the German Folks Klub still looks like new.
Volkswagen Ghias Front Line
Type 34, '59 Coupe, '63 Convertible: only a few samples of the impressive Ghias on exhibit.
Volkswagen Beetle Custom Hot Rod
Volkswagen Eurobus Custom Truck
One of the "People's Choice Award" went to the Single Cab of Mike Macias. It will soon run a larger engine with a Porsche 911-style fanshroud.
Volkswagen Beetle Sedan Accessories
Ronnie Garcia joined the German Folks Klub this summer with this good-looking Sedan outfitted with a ton of desirable accessories.
1951 Volkswagen Split Best Vintage
Ray and Sue Robinson received the "Best Vintage" trophy for their '51 Split. It was imported from Sweden three years ago, before being restored in the US.
Volkswagen Drag Car Hot Rod
This Oval drag car, sponsored by Speedwell USA, belongs to Blake Viens. We dig this vehicle's Hot Rod look!
Volkswagen Ghia Bad Attitude
Parked in front of a long row of New Beetles, the "Bad Attitude" Ghia certainly impressed the crowd, thanks in part to its killer paintjob.
Volkswagen Type 34 Debut
Eric Justus finally debuted his Type 34. He installed a 2332cc engine and Erco wheels, in the spirit of the California Look.
Volkswagen Crew Cab Front Driver Side
Mahle "Gasburner" wheels--a rare Porsche option--can look terrific on a Crew Cab too!
Volkswagen Beetle Oval Dash Convertible
Our friend Julio recently located this Oval-dash Convertible, which had not run since 1981. He drove it to the Panic after some maintenance and a simple wash.
Volkswagen Ghia Front End
Volkswagen Bug Mean Machine
"Mean Machine" is back! This Bug-In survivor--now in the hands of Blase McFadden who redid it beautifully--was previously raced by Steve Tims.
Volkswagen Bug Sumfun Drag
Remember the $umFun drag Bug of Rodney Schultz? It saw plenty of track action during the '70s and early '80s. Rodney still owns it today.
Volkswagen Buggy Turbocharged Engine
We had to show you the new turbocharged powerplant of Mike Cruz's street Buggy. He is aiming at 10-second time slips.

While fairly small, the swap meet still offered a great selection of parts, accessories and mixed goodies.
Volkswagen Bug Engine View 2234Cc
Russell Sakatani of DKP club recently rebuilt the 2234cc of his '67 Beetle, resulting in his first 12-second quarter mile pass.
Volkswagen Bug Vintage Front End
Vintage Volkswagen owners came in numbers at the Panic, one of them being Greg Rios who cruised in this fully restored late '50s Cabriolet.
Volkswagen Bug Vintage Side Profile
The judges awarded Joe Maestas with the "Best Classic Cal Look" trophy. The car? A 2.3-liter powered '57 Oval detailed to the max!
1967 Volkswagen Bug Cabriolet Front Driver Side
Dennis Foronda recently narrowed the front beam of his '67 Cabriolet, allowing for an even lower stance.

Bet this fast mid-engined sandrail flies on the dunes...
1955 Volkswagen Bug Convertible Front Driver Side
You don't see '55 Convertibles too often. This one won the "Promoter's Choice" award.
