VWTrends presented four plaques to the dyno contestants ("Highest Horsepower" and "Highest Torque" in the turbo and naturally aspirated classes), in addition to five trophies for the Car Show participants (Top 5).

All kinds of rides participated in the Car Show. The black '62 with nitrous injection belongs to Dave Mason and runs 11.48 at 121mph. Note the impressive red Ragtop with chromed fenders to the right.

Sam Mebane showed his striking '74 Thing equipped with a 1440-watt stereo setup. Not surprisingly, he received a Top 5 trophy.

A Bus and an Oval, looking good in the car show... The green '55 Ragtop belongs to Tom Carsten, one of the Top 5 winners, who more often than not displays his pride and joy sitting on jack stands.

Leslie Armstrong was thrilled to receive a Top 5 trophy. Her "Memorial Bug," detailed to the max, follows the stars 'n stripes theme.

The show area spread around Magnaflow's huge building, and welcomed every type of aircooled VW conceivable, from daily drivers to highly detailed custom Bugs.

The German Folks Klub did an excellent job running the car show portion of the event. Two thumbs up to you guys!
